Welcome to the Winkfield FC Website. Founded in 2004, we are currently participating in the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League Division 1 during the 07/08 season. Winkfield's Youth Team have now progressed into Mens football and are now Winkfield Reserves playing in Divison 4! Both teams are looking for further success this year and will without doubt we challenging for both the Division 1 & 4 titles!

Winks look set for Xmas Top 5!
As Christmas approaches both the First and Reserve team look set to go into the Xmas break sitting comfortable in the top 5 of the table.
The First team have built on the good start to the season and despite a couple of mediocre performances find themselves sitting 3rd in the table. Victories in their last two league games before Xmas would see them go into the New Year with a realistic chance of equalling last years 2nd place finish. The Reserves seem to have come through a bad patch and are now piling the points on the board, currently sitting 4th with a game against 3rd place Cable & Wireless this Sunday. A win there would set them up nicely to try and take some points of current league leaders FC Diligent in what will be their last game before Xmas.
More important news, the Winks Xmas party has been booked and confirmed. Saturday 22nd December, down the club for drinks and kareoke. Would be nice to have a good turnout from both teams and make it a quality night!
Neither team has a game on the Sunday so no need to worry about hangovers either!!

Double Win for the Winks!
September 9th, 2007, the first day of the new season. A day which saw both Winkfield teams, First & Reserves, travel to Barn Rangers and Red Star respectively. After a good pre-season and training throughout the summer, both Winkfield teams were eager to get the League campaign underway and looked to bank 3 points early doors.
The first team travelled to Barn Rangers, a team which we didn't know much about. Things didn't start to well and the team were soon trailling after a freak goal. Yad had a moment of madness and suddenly rifled the ball towards our own goal, luckily he can barely kick the ball so it seemed Specky would be able to clear his lines with ease. The Winks number 1 was obviously feeling the pressure of playing on his home soil of "Pyke Lane" and managed to completely miss the ball with a wild swipe. The ball rolled under his foot and trickled into the empty net off the bottom of the post. [TO BE CONTINUED!]...

I know little about the reserve game, however I was reliably informed of the following down the club:
Clarky nearly scored from the half way line with the "Clarky Hoof"
Clarky also nearly scored an O.G. with a wild clearance
Rhyno was hooked for being dogshit
Knowlzie missed a hatfull
Dale got MoTM!
